Hi, I’m Heather — the hands and heart behind hlsembroidery.

I began embroidering in 2024 after becoming a mother, with a desire to turn life’s most meaningful moments into lasting keepsakes. What started as a creative outlet quickly became something more — a way to preserve stories through stitch.

Today, each piece is thoughtfully made in the quiet hours, after bedtime and beyond the workday. From simple names and small details to deeply personal projects created by request, every design is approached with intention and care.

Turnaround times vary by item type and will always be noted at the top of each product listing.

hlsembroidery does not carry inventory on hand. Blanks and materials are ordered weekly, and turnaround time begins once the item is received in the studio, not at the time the order is placed.

• Ready-to-Ship Boutique Items
These items are already made and will be clearly labeled as ready to ship in the product listing.

• Standard Personalized Items
Most personalized apparel and accessories have an estimated turnaround time of 2–3 weeks, beginning after the item is received.

• Keepsake & Specialty Custom Items
Keepsake pieces and specialty custom orders typically take 2–4 weeks, and in some cases longer depending on the level of customization and materials involved.

• Pre-Order Items
Pre-order listings will include details on the estimated timeframe for hlsembroidery to receive the item. Please note that pre-orders may experience delays due to the customs process or supplier timelines. Once received, these items typically require an additional 2–3 weeks to complete, depending on the design requested.

Do you accept returns or refunds?

All sales are final. Because each piece is handmade and often custom or made-to-order, returns and exchanges are not accepted.

Please review all details carefully before placing your order, including spelling, colors, sizing, and personalization information. hlsembroidery is not responsible for errors submitted by the customer.

If your order arrives defective or incorrect, please email clear photos to  info@hlsembroidery.com within 24 hours of delivery so the issue can be reviewed. If approved, a replacement or store credit will be issued for the affected item only.

How does personalization work?

Most personalization details — including what can and cannot be customized — are listed directly in each product description. Please review the full product details carefully before placing your order.

Personalized items are created using the information provided at checkout. Text will be stitched exactly as entered, including spelling and capitalization. Please note that some fonts do not support both uppercase and lowercase lettering; in these cases, text will be stitched in the format supported by the selected font.

Design placement, sizing, and scale may vary slightly depending on the item and length of personalization to ensure the best overall appearance. For certain designs, a similar alternative font may be used if the original selection does not fit properly.

If no personalization details or thread colors are noted at checkout, the item will be completed as shown in the product listing.

How should I care for my items?

Care instructions vary by item type and are included with each order and in individual product descriptions. For best results, follow the guidelines below:

Apparel
Turn inside out. Wash cold on a gentle cycle. Hang or lay flat to dry. Do not bleach or iron directly on embroidery.

Hats
Spot clean only. Do not machine wash, bleach, or dry clean. Allow to air dry.

Specialty & Keepsake Items
Spot clean only unless otherwise noted. These items may include delicate materials or layered embroidery and should be handled with extra care.

Always follow the care instructions provided with your specific item for best results.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping time is separate from turnaround time. Turnaround time refers to the time needed to create your item, while shipping time refers to transit once the order has been completed and shipped.

Most orders ship via USPS. Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information.

Estimated shipping times are based on the carrier and selected shipping method and are not guaranteed. Delays caused by the carrier, weather, or other circumstances outside of hlsembroidery’s control may occur.
